"Creation of a modern army, strengthening security of our country are our unconditional, common national priorities," Putin said

MOSCOW, June 28 (Itar-Tass) — "Russia had never let and will not ever let anyone talking to it in a language of force," President Putin declared at a gala reception in Thursday held in honor of graduates of military academies and military universities.

"The task of the whole military organization of this country is to guarantee peace, ensure protection of Russia's interests and its sovereignty, and promptly and adequately rebuff any threats no matter where they come from," Putin declared.

"Creation of a modern army, strengthening security of our country are our unconditional, common national priorities," Putin said.

"Building up our defense politics we will follow the most modern tendencies in military construction, and on their basis will continue modernization of the Armed Forces and consistently create their new image," Putin said.
