Council on state/private partnership to be created at VPK – Rogozin

“A new mechanism of economic resistance to monopolies will work till the yearend,” Rogozin stressed

ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow region, June 28 (Itar-Tass) — A council on state and private partnership will be created at the Russian government’s military-industrial commission (VPK), Vice-Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin said at an international forum, “Technology in Machine-Building 2012”, on Thursday.

“Tomorrow the military-industrial commission will gather for a session. We are creating a council on state and private partnership among other new entities,” Rogozin said, adding that the council “will be led by Minister Mikhail Abyzov”.

“The Council will include private business representatives who will get access to defence technologies and the defence industry in the aspect that confidentiality will allow us,” the vice-prime minister said.

Rogozin stressed that where it could be “we will develop deep integration with private business in the defence-industrial complex in order to ‘kill’ a monopolist and create a competitive climate, technology parks where it is possible”.
