Asian student educational forum opens in Altai

A festival of national cultures will be held within the framework of the forum which will last until June 30

BARNAUL, June 28 (Itar-Tass) — The Asian student forum “Education without boundaries. Altai – Asia 2012” has officially opened in the Altai Territory on Thursday. More than 250 representatives of 50 Russian and foreign institutes of higher education, including Armenia, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Singapore, South Korea, Kazakhstan and China, arrived here to attend the forum, its organizers told ITAR-TASS.

“The aim of the forum to exchange opinions on students’ life and talk about education, culture and expansion of students’ mobility,” rector of the Altai State University Sergei Zemlyukov said.

Among the topics which will be discussed are youth traditions and innovations in Asian countries, healthy way of life, sports, experience in creating youth organizations and educational space of the Asian region. A festival of national cultures will be held within the framework of the forum which will last until June 30.
