NAZRAN, June 27 (Itar-Tass) —— The anti-terrorist operation regime, which was introduced at 13:30 Moscow time on Wednesday in the eastern part of Ordzhonikidzevskaya in the Sunzha district, is lifted, the public relations groups of the Federal Security Service department in Ingushetia told Itar-Tass on Wednesday.
During the anti-terrorist operation regime a special operation was carried out on Wednesday, a source in the Ingush Interior Ministry told Itar-Tass. Several gunmen put up armed resistance in the forest and were destroyed in the retaliatory fire, the source said.
A destroyed gunman was identified as local resident Umar Dzeitov, 23. According to the law enforcement agencies, Dzeitov was a member of the Sunzha gang and was wanted as a gunman.
