MAKHACHKALA, June 27 (Itar-Tass) — Unidentified gunmen shot down the police captain at a gas station in the Dagestani town of Khasavyurt.
The assistant commander of the special squadron of the battalion of the police patrol service in the Khasavyurt district Karamdin Abukadzhiyev, 35, was killed, a source in the republican Interior Ministry said on Wednesday. “The incident occurred at 17:20 Moscow time on Tuesday at the seventh kilometre of the Khasavyurt-Babayurt highway,” the source noted.
Unidentified gunmen were driving a white Lada Priora car without the numbers and shot from automatic rifles.
The criminals, who stole a PM pistol from the policeman with two full magazines loaded with 16 cartridges, escaped. The urgent interception plan was introduced, a criminal case was opened, the source underlined.
