Engineering technology forum at Zhukovsky draws over 300 co's

ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow Region, June 27 (Itar-Tass) — More than 300 Russian and foreign companies are to display the results of their development efforts at the 2nd internatonal forum on the theme of "Technologies in Engineering - 2012", opening here on Wednesday.

Roundtable conferences are expected to draw up to 3,000 participants -- representatives of the authorities, members of the general public, businessmen, scientists, manufacturers of hardware, and service providers.

An official at the forum's organizing committee told Itar-Tass that within the framework of the exhibition programme, this time on display at the airfield of the Flying Research Institute named after M.M. Gromov, where MAKS aerospace shows are usually held, are tens of specimens of ground vehicles of military and civilian purpose. "These are full-scale specimens of missile systems, military unit control systems, tank-borne bridgelayers, armoured cars, offroaders, command staff vehicles, and armoured personnel carriers," the organizing committee official said.

The exhibition programme is represented by the OboronExpo-2012 international exhibition of armaments and military hardware and the MashpromExpo-2012 international exhibition of industrial technologies and innovations.
