Court sanctions arrest of woman who threw her children from 15th storey

Ryabkova has been placed under arrest for two months

MOSCOW, June 26 (Itar-Tass) — The Dolgoprudny town court on Tuesday sanctioned the arrest of Galina Ryabkova, 27, suspected of pushing her two children down from the balcony of an apartment on the 15th floor.

"After hearing out the parties' reasons, the court rules to meet the investigator's petition," the judge said in a resolution.

Ryabkova has been placed under arrest for two months. The woman refused to talk to the journalists in the court.

The investigator said at around 15:00, Moscow time, on June 24, Galina Ryabkova, with the intention to murder her small children, lured them into the balcony on the 15th floor of the house, and overpowered them to heave them over the balcony railing. The boys died of their injuries on the spot."

Ryabkova is due to be charged with the commission of the crime covered by Article 105, Part 2 /"murder of two small children"/. She is to undergo a psychiatric test.
