Belarus and RF lower chambers of prlmnt sign cooperation agreement

The document, in particular, envisages that the sides will promote the development of the parliamentary basis in the Eurasian Economic Union

MINSK, June 26 (Itar-Tass) — The Chamber of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus (the lower chamber of the Belarussian parliament) and the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of Russia have signed an agreement on cooperation in Minsk on Tuesday. Head of the Chamber of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko and leader of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin put their signatures to the document.

The document, in particular, envisages that the sides will promote the development of the parliamentary basis in the Eurasian Economic Union. Besides, parliamentarians will actively use their joint work within the framework CIS parliamentary structures to expand integration processes with strategic partners.

In early June, a similar agreement was signed between the Council of the Republic (the upper chamber of the Belarussian parliament) and the Federation Council of the Russian Federal Assembly.
