MOSCOW, June 25 (Itar-Tass) — One of the leaders of the off-system opposition blogger Alexei Navalny is elected in the Aeroflot Board of Directors on Monday.
A new makeup of the board of directors of the largest Russian air carrier Aeroflot – Russian Airlines was elected at an annual meeting of its shareholders.
The Aeroflot Board of Directors included member of the Altera Capital Management AG Board of Directors Kirill Androsov, director of programs at the Moscow management school Skolkovo Alexei Germanovich, deputy head of the Federal Agency for State Property Management Gleb Nikitin, Aeroflot Director General Vitaly Savelyev, department director of the Transport Ministry Alexander Tikhonov, Director General of the Rostechnologii state corporation Sergei Chemezov, lawyer of the Moscow Bar Association “Mezhregion” and blogger Alexei Navalny among others.
The Russian government is the largest Aeroflot shareholder that owns 51% of stock of the air company. The national reserve corporation has 9.7% of stock. In 2011 Aeroflot increased the passenger traffic by 25.6% to 14.173 million people.
