ZHUKOVSKY, Moscow region, June 25 (Itar-Tass) — More than 300 Russian and foreign companies will take part in the second international forum Technologies in Machine-building due to begin in Zhukovsky outside Moscow on June 27, organizers of the forum told Itar-Tass on Monday.
Russia’s biggest companies have already announced their plans to exhibit a number of novelties at the forum. “They will demonstrate full-scale specimen, mockups and leaflets about their products,” organizers said. Thus, Morinformsistema-Agat concern will exhibit full-scale specimen of the Club-M missiles systems, the Sozvezdie concern will demonstrate an automated military unit control system. Manufacturers of wheeled and track-type vehicles will put on display a number of novelties, including the MTU-90M armored bridgelayer developed by the Omsk-based Design Bureau of Transport Machine-building, the Scorpion-LShA, Scorpion-LSaB+, and Scorpion LTA light assault vehicles manufactured by the Zashchita corporation, a six-wheel all-terrain vehicle, etc.
Aircraft builders will also display a range of their products. Thus, the United Aircraft Corporation and its partners will present a project of the MS-21 passenger plane. It is expected that the corporation’s stand will feature a mockup of the plane, and a number of elements of the upgraded cockpit. Apart from that, the exhibits will include a full-scale model of the PD-14 engine for this plane made of composite materials.
Russian Helicopters will display mockups of its latest models, including the Ka-62 multi-purpose helicopter, the Mi-38 medium-haul helicopter, the modernized Mi-171A2 helicopter, the Ka-226T light multi-purpose helicopter, and the modernized heavy duty Mi-26T2 helicopter.
Organizers of the forum say the program will feature two major exhibitions – an international exhibition of weapons and military hardware Oboronexpo-2012, and an international exhibition of industrial technologies and innovations Meshpromexpo-2012.
The open-air exhibition area is 11,600 square meters, and indoors area is 8,000 square meters.
The second international forum Technologies in Machine-building-2012 will be held in Zhukovsky from June 27 to July 1, 2012.
