Boeing makes emergency landing in Novosibirsk

Nobody injured

MOSCOW, June 24 (Itar-Tass) — A Boeing plane flying to Hanoi has made an emergency landing in Russia’s city of Novosibirsk. Nobody was injured, but pre-investigation checks are made, sources from the Russian Investigative Committee said.

A Boeing 757 operated by Vim-Avia Airlines made an emergency landing at about 6 am local time (10 am, Moscow time) as it was flying from Yekaterinburg to Hanoi.

According to preliminary information, the plane made an emergency landing because its left engine had malfunctioned. None of its 163 passengers was injured, sources from the Investigative Committee said.
