ST PETERSBURG, June 23 (Itar-Tass) —— The demand of airlines in Russia and other CIS countries for aircraft in the next 20 years is estimated at about one thousand pieces, the president of Boeing in Russia and the CIS, Sergei Kravchenko, said on the sidelines of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum this week.
"The demand of airlines in Russia and the CIS for aircraft over the next 20 years is estimated at about one thousand 110 billion dollars worth," said Kravchenko.
He believes the Russian market will show the greatest demand for single-aisle aircraft.
Kravchenko said that Russian airlines over the past five years grew by 20 percent per year.
Sberbank and Boeing signed a cooperation agreement that provides for the extension of partnership in the field of aviation financing and leasing of aircraft on the Russian and CIS markets.
