NIZHNY NOVGOROD, June 22 (Itar-Tass) —— A man was killed in the blast onboard a ship, which was docked for repairs in Nizhny Novgorod, special representative of the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office Dmitry Zakharov told Itar-Tass on Friday.
“According to preliminary reports, the welding works continued onboard the ship, which was docked for repairs. It is not ruled out that the reason for the explosion could have been the violation of the welding works and the breach of the safety rules. This report will be checked,” Zakharov noted.
The team of operatives from the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office, criminal experts and detectives rushed to the incident site.
