ST. PETERSBURG, June 22 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia should keep its oil and gas budget deficit under seven percent, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov said on Friday.

He spoke at a panel discussion session on the topic “The Program of Russian Reforms: A Plan for a Decade” held within the framework of the Petersburg International Economic Forum.

The current forecast puts the oil and gas budget deficit at 10.6 percent. “A safe level is five percent. In the nearest future, we must see to it that this deficit is at least seven percent,” he said.
