ST PETERSBURG, June 22 (Itar-Tass) — President Vladimir Putin said Russia is fine-tuning its legislation in the field of oil production. He said so during a meeting with heads of large foreign energy companies at the Petersburg international economic forum on Thursday.
Russia not only invites foreign partners to its oil and gas sector, but also makes serious moves for their further fruitful work in Russia.
"In effect, we're carrying out a fine fiscal turning of such a field as oil production, to make the whole line of projects profitable for investors and globally competitive in full sense," Putin said, noting that he would like Russian companies participate in investment projects abroad as "equals, without discrimination."
