BAKU, June 18 (Itar-Tass) —— Baku made a protest to Ashgabat over Turkmenistan’s attempt to start developing Kyapaz deposit on the Caspian shelf, the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry reported on Monday.
“A sharp protest was made to the Turkmenistani side. It was noted that this unlawful activity is impermissible. The Azerbaijani side reserves the right to take appropriate measures to protect its sovereign rights on the Caspian,” says the report.
