Mironov dissociates himself from party member action

"It is one thing when it is ‘Occupy Abai’ or something like that, and then it can be ‘Occupy the Kremlin’; it is possible to write anything at all"

MOSCOW, June 18 (Itar-Tass) — Sergei Mironov, the leader of the Just Russia party, on Monday publicly dissociated himself from member of his party Ilya Ponomaryov who took part in the “Occupy the Investigation Committee” action.

First of all, Mironov spoke negatively about the very word combination. “I don’t like the use of foreign words, also as titles of actions,” he said. “It is one thing when it is ‘Occupy Abai’ or something like that, and then it can be ‘Occupy the Kremlin’; it is possible to write anything at all,” Mironov said as a warning.

“Naturally, the Investigation Committee, as a regime institution, will be taking appropriate measures and will have the right to do so,” Mironov is sure. “There exist structures that must work; we have plenty of claims to make to their work, but in this case ‘Occupy the Investigation Committee’ is some sort of a game and not a very serious one. Such things are not done,” he said.
