People long for political fight, UR should take part -- Medvedev

It is clear that the struggle for voters will be much more complicated than three, five and seven years ago, Prime Minister said

ST. PETERSBURG, June 16 (Itar-Tass) —— The struggle for voters will be more complicated for United Russia and will require talks with people, the party's leader and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said on Saturday.

The party, as well as the entire country, has entered the period of political detonation and shaking. It is clear that the struggle for voters will be much more complicated than three, five and seven years ago, Medvedev said. He believes it is connected with the fact that the party has remained in power for a long time, and such are the rules of the political genre.

It is much more difficult to retain confidence than to win it or criticize the ruling political force, he noted.

According to the United Russia leader, the party may respond to the opposition only with convincing arguments and direct association with people.

"According to information of media, social networks and other sources, people are long for political fights. It means we must do it," Medvedev added.
