Tajik president’s close relative shot dead in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, June 14 (Itar-Tass) — A close relative of Tajik President Emomali Rakhmon was killed in Dushanbe, local mass media reported on Thursday.

The director of the state-run forestry company Tajikles, Kholmumin Safarov, husband of Rakhmon’s elder sister, was killed last night not far from a bus station. Unidentified criminals shot him dead, when he was in his car.

The details of the killing have not been reported so far.
