BARNAUL, June 14 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s Federal Security Service has detected and destroyed a large batch of explosives and munitions abandoned at a testing range close to the village of Verkh-Katunskoye in the Altai Territory, the regional FSB department told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
The batch contained 14 nose cones of high-explosive fragmentation bombs and over 40 detonating fuses to them, antitank and artillery shells and clockwork fuses DTM-75.
Bomb engineers cleared the area of munitions that were found 200 meters of summer pastures of a local agricultural enterprise.
The FSB is investigating the case.
