MOSCOW, June 12 (Itar-Tass) —— Up to 20,000 participate in the opposition’s march in central Moscow on Tuesday, press service of the Interior Ministry reported.
Now the participants from Strastnoy Boulevard are approaching Sakharov Avenue, where a meeting is due at 15:00.
“The number of participants is up to 18,000,” the police said.
However, coordinator of Left Front Sergei Udaltsov said he had counted about 100,000. Earlier, the organisers quoted 20,000. Itar-Tass correspondent believes the event has gathered 30-40 thousand participants, and several thousand people walked outside organised columns.
