TEHRAN, June 12 (Itar-Tass) —— During the upcoming visit to Iran of Russia’s foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov will discuss key regional problems, including the situation in Syria, nuclear problems and aspects of the bilateral cooperation, Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said on Tuesday.

He spoke with satisfaction about the active cooperation between Iran and Russia.

“During Lavrov’s visit we shall organise consultations on upcoming talks in Moscow on settlement of the Iranian nuclear problem,” the diplomat said. “The success depends on constructive positions of the five-plus-one group’s representatives. They should confirm officially the legal rights of Iran /on development of peaceful nuclear technologies./”

The previous round of negotiations between Iran and the sextet was on May 23-24 in Bagdad. During that meeting the sides exchanged suggestions and agreed to continue the negotiations process on June 18-19 in Moscow.
