NAZRAN, June 10 (Itar-Tass) —— A criminal case was opened in connection with the Saturday blast on the Nazran outskirts in Ingushetia, the republican department of the Russian Investigation Committee told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
A handmade bomb was planted on the curb of the Caucasus federal route on the outskirts of Nazran at about 11:00 p.m. Moscow time on June 9. The 20th anniversary of the republic was being celebrated not far from that place. Five policemen providing law and order during the celebrations were injured in the bomb explosion. Another injured person was a 19-year-old local man. All the injured were taken to the hospital.
