NAZRAN, June 10 (Itar-Tass) —— Five police and a 19-year-old local resident were injured in a suburb of Nazran at about 23:00 on Saturday, apparently with a grenade launcher shot, the Investigative Committee’s Ingushetia office told Itar-Tass. All were taken to hospital.
Unidentified gunmen armed with automatic weapons fired a shot into a group of police, who were guarding the site of festivities on the occasion of the republic’s 20th anniversary, witnesses said. The incident occurred on the federal highway Kavkaz.
A crime scene investigation is on.
