Bombardier Q400 licensed to fly in Russia, CIS

The jetliner may carry from 68 to 80 passengers to the range of 2,500 kilometers

MOSCOW, June 8 (Itar-Tass) — Canada’s turbo-prop jetliner Bombardier Q400 has been licensed by the Interstate Aviation Committee to fly in Russia and the CIS, the company told Itar-Tass on Friday.

The jetliner may carry from 68 to 80 passengers to the range of 2,500 kilometers. Other modifications of Bombardier aircraft have been being used by Russian airlines since 2003. More than 80 Q200 and Q300 jets are currently in use in Russia and the CIS.
