Russia’s total unemployment rate to be at 5 mln by yearend

Currently, the total number of officially registered jobless people in Russia is 1.2 million people

MOSCOW, June 8 (Itar-Tass) — Russia’s overall unemployment rate is forecasted to reach five million people by the end of the year, Minister of Labour and Social Protection Maxim Topilin told reporters on Friday.

“I hope that we manage to keep the maximum level of the country’s total unemployment rate at five million people,” he said.

“The officially registered unemployment rate will be at about 1.3 million people before the end of the year,” Topilin said.

Currently, the total number of officially registered jobless people in Russia is 1.2 million people.
