MOSCOW, June 8 (Itar-Tass) —— Torrential rains have left more than 5,000 residents in the Yessentuksyaya settlement in Russia’s southern Stavropol Territory without electricity, a spokesman for the Russian emergencies ministry told Itar-Tass on Friday.
According to the spokesman, the rains have flooded about 50 private houses and disrupted electricity supplies to 2,500 more houses. No casualties were reported.
Repair works are planned to be over by Friday night.
