MOSCOW, June 7 (Itar-Tass) —— The protocol on Russia’s accession in the World Trade Organization will be submitted in the State Duma on Thursday and will be ratified on July 4, Chairman of the State Duma Committee for Economic Policy Igor Rudensky told Itar-Tass on Thursday.

This document will be put up for consideration in the lower house of parliament on Thursday right after its discussion in the government, he said. “The specific committee will hold an enlarged meeting on July 2, the protocol will be passed for ratification on July 4,” the deputy said.

Speaking at a government meeting on Thursday, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev stated that the government approved and submitted the documents on Russia’s entry in the WTO for ratification.

“I instruct Minister of Economic Development Andrei Belousov to work closely with the parliament, the parliament waits for these documents to finalize all necessary procedures in July,” the prime minister said. “In early August Russia should become a full-fledged WTO member,” Medvedev underlined.
