Russian Communist leader’s condition satisfactory – Health Minister

On June 4 sources in the CPRF said Zyuganov had been taken to a hospital in Kislovodsk

MOSCOW, June 6 (Itar-Tass) —— The condition of Russia’s Communist Party leader, Gennady Zyuganov is satisfactory and the health system will do its utmost to ensure his recovery at the earliest date possible, Health Service Minister Veronika Skvortsova told a news conference on Wednesday.

“The medical system and the healthcare system will do everything they can to ensure the CPRF leader be again with us and in good shape soon,” Skvortosva said.

The Communist leader cut short his vacation at a health-building center on June 5 and flew from the spa resort Kislovodsk to Moscow on June 5. Zyuganov’s aide, Alexander Yushchenko dismissed the rumors the Communist Party’s leader was in critical condition.

On June 4 sources in the CPRF said Zyuganov had been taken to a hospital in Kislovodsk.

“He complained about acute pain in the knee and high arterial blood pressure,” he party’s website said.
