KIEV, June 6 (Itar-Tass) —— Ukraine has made everything possible to make sure teams and every fan receives in Ukraine comfort and security, joy from class football during EURO-2012, the country’s Prime Minister Nikolai Azarov told a meeting of the government on Wednesday.
“I may state proudly that we are ready for the championship,” he said. “Ukraine has fulfilled its all obligations.”
The preparations for the championship may be called “Ukraine’s big organisational and technical victory.”
The prime minister said during the preparations for the European championship the country built more objects that it had done over past 20 years, and at the same time its expenses were by six times less than those in Poland.
“We had to be saving wherever it was possible. This is our response to the anti-Ukraine campaign, inspired by outside and inside opponents,” he said.
Guests of the championship would be able to see with their own eyes “what this country is like, its values, hopes, opportunities and future,” he added.
“I wish to all participants honest and beautiful games and satisfactions from staying in this country.”
