YEKATERINBURG, June 6 (Itar-Tass) — Prosecutors in the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Area exposed 12 illegal oil wells built by the INGA company.
"The wells were commissioned without approval certificate, state expert examination or construction permit. It threatened the safety of the use of resources and the industrial safety of the wells which are regarded as dangerous facilities. The environmental prosecutors filed 12 legal actions demanding a ban on the operation of these oil wells," the press service of the regional department of Prosecutor General's Office for the Urals Federal District told Itar-Tass.
Prosecutors also ascertained that the same company was responsible for the oil spill in the Oktyabrsky district. The damage from the oil spill reached 900,000 roubles.
