BEIJING, June 5 (Itar-Tass) — Russia and China signed a joint statement on further development of relations of overwhelming equal trustful partnership and strategic cooperation. The document was signed following the negotiations of Russia’s President Vladimir Putin and China’s Chairman Hu Jintao on Tuesday.
The sides initial the Protocol to the International agreement on cooperation in construction in China of a nuclear power plant and on Russia’s state loan to China.
The two leaders witnessed signing of the Memorandum on mutual understanding between Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade and China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technologies on improving cooperation in industry, between the Federal agency on tourism and the China National Tourism Administration of tourism on further expanding of cooperation in tourism.
Itar-Tass and Xinhua signed an agreement on information cooperation.
The two countries signed a road map for several directions of the Russia-China cooperation in nuclear energy between Rosatom and China’s Atomic Energy Authority, a Memorandum on expanding the electric energy cooperation between Inter RAO and the State Grid Corporation of China.
Besides, signed is a Protocol between Russia’s Fund of Direct Investments and the China Investment Corporation on finalising of organisation of a Management company for the Russia-China investment fund and on its main principles; a Memorandum on mutual understanding in cooperation between Russia’s agency on insurance of export loans and investments and China’s export and credit insurance corporation, a credit agreement between Vnesheconombank and China Development Bank on construction of the Taishet aluminium plant and an agreement between VTB Leasing bank and China’s Export-Import Bank.
Five more documents signed over the visit of Russia’s president to China are: a Memorandum on mutual understanding between Russia’s United Aviation Corporation and China’s Commercial Aircraft Corporation on a joint project of a wide-body long-haul plane, and Agreement on strategic partnership between RAO Energy Systems of the East, China’s CITIC bank and Amur Energoalliance, a Protocol of intentions between Resorts of the North Caucasus and the Dalian Wanda Group and the China Oceanwide Holdings Group on development of the tourism cluster project, Agreement on cooperation between SIBUR Holding and the China National Petroleum Corporation, a framework agreement on cooperation between Uralvagonzavod and the China South Locomotive and Rolling Stock Corporation.
