Suspected killer of furniture holding director detained in Moscow region

The police have information that the detainee not only masterminded the crime, but also purchased a car for its perpetrators and drove them to the murder scene

MOSCOW, June 5 (Itar-Tass) — Criminal police of the Moscow region detained a man suspected of involvement in the murder of Mikhail Kravchenko, head of the Fabrika 8 Marta furniture holding.

"Detectives, assisted by a SOBR special task force unit, detained one of the suspects. At present, Investigative Committee personnel are questioning him," a police officer said.

Earlier reports said police had detained the suspected mastermind. "He is one of the victim's acquaintances, an Alexei Pronin. The suspect was brought to a remand ward in the town of Odintsovo, where he confessed to the crime," an SK investigator said.

Mikhail Kravchenko was gunned down near his cottage in an elite settlement in the Odintsovo district, Moscow region, on May 20.
