VLADIVOSTOK, June 4 (Itar-Tass) —— The programme to prepare Vladivostok for the APEC-2012 summit will be more than 90 percent fulfilled by July.
Almost all the facilities are ready. Some facilities are already accepted or prepared for acceptance, said participants in the video conference of the Coordinating Council of the Russian Ministry of Regional Development for the preparation and holding of the APEC summit. The video conference was held on Monday, the Primorye regional administration's press centre told Itar-Tass.
The most important facilities will be ready in early July. These are the buildings of Far Eastern Federal University, the bridges across the Zolotoi Rog (Golden Horn) Bay and the Eastern Bosphorus Strait, the four-km bridge across the Amur Bay, the high-speed highway between the airport and the Patroclus Bay and facilities of the housing and transport infrastructure. The landscaping, facade repair and planting work will continue until early September.
The APEC summit will take place on Russky Island in September 2012. About 40 various buildings and installations will be constructed in the region's capital by the time.
