Large-scale FSB drills begin in Primorye in run-up to APEC forum

In some territories the movement of transport vehicles can be restricted and IDs can be checked

VLADIVOSTOK, June 4 (Itar-Tass) — Large-scale drills of Russia’s Federal Security Service begin in the Primorye Territory to master actions to ensure security and anti-terrorism protection of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation summit due in Vladivostok in September, the FSB regional department told Itar-Tass on Monday.

The drills will engage all regional groups of forces and equipment from the law enforcement agencies, bodies of power and management.

In some territories the movement of transport vehicles can be restricted and IDs can be checked.

The drills take place in compliance with the plan of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee within the framework of the preparations for the APEC forum on Russky Island that is expected to gather over 20 foreign delegations and over 10,000 foreign guests.
