BERLIN, June 1 (Itar-Tass) —— The European economic crisis has an effect on Russia, President Vladimir Putin said after negotiations with German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel.
“Certainly, it [the eurozone crisis] affects the Russian economy,” he said. “More than 50% of our trade falls on EU member countries. Certainly, we are interested in the soonest attainment of stability in the eurozone. Our interests coincide with those of Germany and France.”
“The choice of stabilization instruments is up to our European partners. We expect them to choose the optimum ways,” Putin said.
