MOSCOW, June 1 (Itar-Tass) — The organising committee of the ‘March of Millions’ insists that the rally should be held within the Sadovoye Ring Road, member of the committee, leader of the Left Front movement Sergei Udaltsov told Itar-Tass.
“The organising committee’s meeting has just ended. We discussed the mayor’s office refusal to allow the procession from Tverskaya Zastava Street to Borovitskaya Square and the mayor’s office proposal to hold it on the Frunze Embankment instead with a meeting at the Andreyevsky Bridge. This proposal is unacceptable for us,” Udaltsov stated.
“The organising committee decided to send to the mayor’s office an official document in which we request to offer us any other place for our action, but only within the boundaries of the Sadovoye Ring Road. We will not specify proposals on the route of the procession and the meeting, we leave it to the discretion of the mayor’s office,” the Left Front leader said.
He noted that the organising committee is ready to accept any proposal, but exclusively within the Sadovoye Ring. “So we plan to conduct further negotiations on this issue,” Udaltsov said.
In accordance with the current legislation, the final decision on the place for the action should be made three days ahead of the rally.
