MOSCOW, May 31 (Itar-Tass) — The commander of a platoon of the police regiment was detained for robbery of a man in the Moscow district Mitino overnight to Thursday, the press service of the Moscow police told Itar-Tass on Thursday.
The police reported that the call came to the police alert force at about four hours in the morning on Thursday from a man, who said that at 1, Mitinsky Bystreet an unidentified robber seized the bag from his hands that contained a building perforating machine and escaped.
“A police patrol car was immediately dispatched to the incident site in the district Mitino and detained the suspect not far from the incident site. The suspected robber turned out to be a 29-year-old commander of a platoon of the first police regiment that was drunk in the leisure time,” the press service reported.
The criminal case will be opened. The assistant commander of the squad for the work with the police staff will be disciplined, the assistant commander of the battalion will be reprimanded.
