BANGKOK, May 31 (Itar-Tass) — The flight data recorder has been found at the site where a Russian-made Sukhoi Superjet passenger plane crashed in Indonesia on May 9, a participant in the Indonesian search team working at the crash site on Mount Salak told Russian reporters on Thursday.
He said the flight recorder seems to be in good condition, it was not damaged by fire. Sources from the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company confirmed this information in Moscow. They said that Indonesian specialists with participation of Russian experts will shortly begin deciphering its data.
The Sukhoi Superjet 100 crashed into Mount Salak during a demonstration flight in Indonesia on May 9. There were 45 people on board, including eight Russian nationals.
