14 tourists hurt in tourist bus accident in Egypt

There were tourists from Russia, Germany and China, and Egyptian citizens, the local media said

CAIRO, May 29 (Itar-Tass) — A tourist bus turned over on the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt on Tuesday. Fourteen people, including tourists from Russia, Germany and China, and Egyptian citizens are hurt, the local media said.

The tourists were coming back from the St. Catherine Monastery, 220 kilometers away from Sharm-el-Sheikh. The bus’ tire ruptured, the driver lost control and the bus turned over several times.

The injured were taken to the central hospital of Dahab. Most of them have bruises.

The consular department of the Russian Embassy in Egypt told Itar-Tass it was verifying information about possible injuries of Russian tourists.
