KIEV, May 29 (Itar-Tass) — Football fans from Sweden, Poland and Russia top the list of buyers of tickets for Euro 2012 matches that Ukraine will host, Markian Lubkivsky, head of the Euro 2012 organizing committee in Ukraine, told a news conference on Tuesday.
“Sweden, Poland and Russia are leading among other countries’ ticket buyers,” he said. “Approximately 40,000 football fans will come to Ukraine from Sweden, another 40,000 – from Poland. Moreover, Russian bought around 40,000 tickets and Germans – around 30,000.”
Ukraine and Poland will co-host the UEFA 2012 European Football Championship from June 8 to July 1.
