MOSCOW, May 29 (Itar-Tass) — The police in a Moscow south-western suburb have detained a man who is suspected of murdering a one-year-old boy, a spokesman for the Moscow police department told Itar-Tass on Tuesday.
The child’s dead body with numerous bruises in the head, face, belly and chest was found in an apartment in Butlerova Street, 38 at about noon on Monday.
“The police detained the apartment’s owner, a man born 1979,” the spokesman said. According to preliminary data, the man had been beating the boy over and over for three days until the boy died.
The police are after the boy’s mother, whose whereabouts are yet unknown.
