MOSCOW, May 29 (Itar-Tass) — Journalist Sergei Aslanyan was stabbed in the south of Moscow near midnight. The city’s police told Itar-Tass on Tuesday that “the victim was hospitalised, his life is not in danger.”
“An unknown person called Aslanyan on a mobile phone and asked him to come out into the street for a talk. The journalist who lives in Chertanovskaya Street came out but found no one there. When he was returning to his apartment he was attacked at the entrance to his house by an unknown malefactor who inflicted on him several tangential stab wounds,” said the source.
The issue of opening a criminal case is considered. The police seized CCTV footage in the entrance hall with which the attacker could be identified. The police are ascertaining the reasons for the attack.
Sergei Aslanyan is a presenter on the Mayak and Echo of Moscow radio stations. He earlier worked with several media outlets and on television.
