COPENHAGEN, May 28 (Itar-Tass) — Russia's women handball players have won the qualifying tournament, which ended in Denmark on Sunday, for the right to participate in the forthcoming Olympic Games in London.

In the concluding match, the Russian team outperformed Denmark, 27-20 (9-9). Previously, the Russian players already gained the right to take part in the Olympic Games in the first two matches, defeating the Dominican Republic, 41-17, and Tunisia, 33-20.

The Danish women handballers are also to take part in the Games upon gaining the upper hand over Tunisia, 28-24, and the Dominican Republic, 31-28.
