Dry weather causes outbreak of wildfires in Krasnoyarsk territory

KRASNOYARSK, May 27 (Itar-Tass) —— Dry weather has caused an outbreak of wildfires in the Krasnoyarsk territory.

Fourteen hectares of forests were ablaze there on Saturday; the fires spread into 91 hectares of the taiga as of 6:30 p.m. Moscow time on Sunday, the territorial forest firefighting department reports.

All the five wildfires are raging in northeastern districts which cannot be reached other than by aircraft. Four planes and three helicopters delivered 56 paratroopers to the fire zone on Sunday and went on aerial reconnaissance missions.
