MOSCOW, May 27 (Itar-Tass) —— The Moscow police have detained about 40 people in the city center, a police source told Itar-Tass on Sunday.
The police prevented clashes between gay movement activists attempting to hold an action without a permit and their opponents.
“In the end, about 40 people were detained on both sides, including two reporters who participated in the event instead of covering it,” the source said. There is a video confirming that, he added.
The detainees were taken to a police station pending administrative charges.
