NOVO-OGARYOVO, May 25 (Itar-Tass) —— The Defense Ministry and the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC) will sign a contract to build five nuclear-powered submarines on Friday, Industry and Trade Minister Denis Manturov said.
“A balanced decision has been made enabling a contract with the Defense Ministry. The shipyards will have orders in the period until 2020,” he said.
Pricing remains the key problem, he noted. “A compromise has been reached, and a contract based on this compromise will be signed,” the minister said.
