FAS to support Rosneft’s alliances with world companies

They are starting alliances with major world companies in offshore development projects

MOSCOW, May 24 (Itar-Tass) —— Russia’s Federal Anti-Monopoly Service (FAS) will support the oil company Rosneft in creating alliances with world companies, FAS chief Igor Artemiev said, adding he had no fears the company might grow too big.

“I do not think that they should grow bigger. They are starting alliances with major world companies in offshore development projects,” Artemiev said, adding that it was a way of creating more diversified infrastructures for the most difficult and extremely necessary projects.

“In this respect they certainly deserve support,” Artemiev said.
