Aeroflot puts eighth SukhoiSuperjet on flight schedule

All in all Aeroflot ordered 30 SukhoiSuperjets

MOSCOW, May 23 (Itar-Tass) —The Russian Aeroflot airline company has put the eighth Superjet100 plane into service. The aircraft was named in honor of merited pilot Yevgeny Barabash, Aeroflot reported Wednesday.

The plane with a serial number 95014 was turned over to Aeroflot in the framework of leasing agreement with the VEB-leasing company. The plane is intended for transportation of 87 passengers in comfortable conditions with business and economic class accommodation (12 seats in business class and 75 seats in economic class). A maximum flight range is over 2,400 kilometers.

All in all Aeroflot ordered 30 SukhoiSuperjets.

Aeroflot already uses SukhoSuperjets for short range flights on domestic routes and flights from Sheremetjevo airport in Moscow to St.Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, Ufa, Astrakhan, Chelyabinsk, Perm, Volgograd, Minsk, Samara, Orenburg, Nizhnekamsk, Vilnius, Donetsk, Dnepropetrovsk, Copenhagen, Bucharest, Sofia and Krakow.

Since the end of May the Superjet100 will begin flights to Nizhnevartovsk, and since June its flight schedule will include Odessa, Kharkov and Dresden.
