MOSCOW, May 23 (Itar-Tass) —— Outside players by supplying weapons to Syria’s alignments violate the resolutions of the UN Security Council and attempt to frustrate the plan of Kofi Annan, Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on Wednesday following negotiations with his Sri Lanka’s counterpart Gamini Lakshman Peiris.

“Let us not forget about outside players, who finance and supply weapons to detachments /in Syria/,” Lavrov said. “I can see clearly the purpose – to frustrate the peace plan of Kofi Annan.”

“This becomes a rude violation of the resolutions of the UN Security Council, which has approved the plan fully and completely,” the minister said.
